Have you ever wondered whether your CV is read whenever you apply for a job position? The chances that your CV lands directly to the trash (Bin) even before it is ready is HIGH. Wondering what the reason is? Use the below tips to a self-check on your resume and know the difference:

Ugly Format
Format matters, whether it is the USA, UK or the GCC. If you have a CV that is poor in presentation with bad fonts, too much content, extra highlighting or bold, too many gaps, the recruiter may directly hit the delete button.
Irrelevant Information
Does you CV have your current job clearly explained on the first page? If not, this is the failure in your CV. It is very essential that your current role is listed on the first page so that the recruiter can read it in his/her first glance. Never make the mistake of putting too much unnecessary content in the first page.
Missing your Contact Details
A CV without all essential contact details (including the name) is like a visiting card without the contact details (of no use). In a job market like Dubai, it is often seen that people leave out the most necessary things or move it to the last page. Who goes to the last page to read the name of the applicant?
Using Nick Names
While it is cool to use nick names, it is a blunder to avoid in your CV. Never use casual names in your CV. And, this includes unprofessional emails such as myXmen@gmail.com or SingingStar@hotmail.com
These were few tips that you as a candidate should review before you send out your CV for job applications. To get help on CV writing from CV Expertz Dubai, share your details on info.writinzing@gmail.com
